Blackbird is introduced as the sister of the fallen Dark Canary. She has vocal powers and is a fully trained fighter. She confronts the strangler Red Ribbon and nearly defeats him until he gains the... upper hand. Red Ribbon then physically punishes the heroine and strangles her. Blackbird breaks free and fights back, but the criminal shocks her with a stun gun and strangles her with red ribbon again, as the top of her costume slowly comes down exposing her large breasts. Once she is topless and at his mercy, he places the stun gun against her head and short-circuits her brain. He then cracks her neck for good measure. Red Ribbon watches her and then walks away.
