In this episode, Michael takes his time at the restaurant with Olivia, raising her spirits with a glass of wine and mentally preparing her for a night of bliss with her own father as he... cleverly lowers her inhibitions and allays her deep fears. Alas, at the very last moment this strategy still ends up breaking down when Liv gets a panic attack... and this is where we cross into dark and disturbing territory for a moment, when Michael decides to risk it all with a forceful push rather than continuing the subtle approach. In the end, his new strategy wins over, as he completely dominates his daughter and the two consummate their new relationship over a long night of non-stop lovemaking... though the effects of Michael's actions on Olivia's future behavior are all but impossible to predict at this moment.
