In this chapter, after a brief chat in the park with Vanessa the waitress (who at least succeeds in explaining the deep reasons behind her outrageously slutty behavior), Michael finally takes off with his daughters... for their road trip. Unfortunately, the family visit of the graves of Gracie and Michael's parents mainly serve to stir up dark and unpleasant memories, leaving the triplets in disarray, and the next morning, as they wake up in a nearby motel, Michael finds himself challenged with the task of soothing the sisters' nerves. Things work out reasonably well with Maddie, but not so well with Olivia, who torments Michael with questions about his past and then unexpectedly gets jealous over the big boobs of her dad's ex-lover on the photo he has to show her... kinda looks like poor Dad is going to have to shell out a small fortune for plastic surgery once the family gets back in town!
