In this chapter, Percy and his inquisitive sisters finally have a proper meeting with the Mysterious Man, who is revealed to be Asmodeus, the renegade former member of the Sons of Astaroth. Apparently wanting to... help, he not only reveals the identities of some of the members of the organization, but also passes on the information about a secret chemical compound created by "Lilith", one of the other members, that will help bring Astaroth back to power unless the siblings manage to retrieve it from her secret lab in the ruins of an old abandoned hospital.
