Kara is Supergirl and confronts a thief named Lex, after interrogating him and just before taking him away, the Specter appears. Lex tries to convince Supergirl that the Specter is very strong but she doesn't... believe it. Supergirl lands her first blow, but the villain knocks her unconscious with a single blow. The villain carries the thief away while the heroine's body falls to the ground. Supergirl gets up and finds Lex lying on the floor of a nearby warehouse. But it's too late!... She soon discovers that he is in a trap and Lex's mind is controlled by the Specter. Kara tries to reason with Lex, but it's impossible and she has no choice but to fight him. It's not an easy fight, as Lex also received Supergirl's powers. The heroine manages to knock Lex down many times, but she is unable to defeat him, eventually Lex defeats her with multiple blows. Supergirl is tied with her arms above her head, the Specter comes out to wake the superhero. The villain gropes the heroine, suffocates her, beats her cruelly, breaks her back and puts an end to the nightmare.
