The NVG ‘casting’ shows how exploitation could be carried out in an intricate way and made normal. During a few of the castings, the men always lied to the women saying that ‘no one would see this’. In a few instances, the deal was blatant and the woman was ready to do anything to get the job. This is one of the aspects of the American way of life, and we are all complicit in normalising it.
